A Limerick
The Boy and the Bee
There once was a boy who wanted some money
So he married a bee hoping to sell her honey
They got a house in a tree
Every day they went in the sea
Then he left the bee for a bunny!

Greetings from P.T.A.
It’s hard to believe that another school year has past. Each year seems to go faster.
We thank our teachers for all they do each and every day for our children. It makes me think of the teachers I had growing up. We were not taught about direct and indirect objects, but they made me believe in myself and showed me I could achieve anything I set my mind to. I hope our children have the same experience and are able to reflect on those memories for many years.
We welcome our new Kindergartners and their families, but we also had to say goodbye to our 6th graders. I know the Education and Character building they received at Island Harbour Primary School will help them to be successful at secondary education.
Thank you all for your support and countless volunteer hours!!! Our PTA had a very successful year because of your support and I am looking forward to another great year.
Best Regards
Mrs. Myrtle Smith

ABCs of Pupil Success
A is for Attendance
Attendance is a critical factor in any child's school success. Children should attend school every day, except in cases of illness or emergency. It is impossible to replace the learning that happens on any school day with make-up work. Regular attendance and promptness are good habits that are expected and appreciated at all levels of schooling and in the workplace. This year, make school a priority in your household. Commit to excellence in attendance. Your child's future depends on it!
Remember our new school hours are as follow: School begins at 8:25 am, Lunch 12:00 – 1:05 pm and school dismisses at 3:00pm.
